Leicestershire and Rutland County RBL Pipe Band

Home Page

The Leicestershire and Rutland County Royal British Legion pipe band was renamed on 21.2.05 previously being known as the Quorn Royal British Legion pipe band , which was formed in January 2002 and is therefore the newest pipe band in Leicestershire ! The band wears the Ancient Hunting Macrae tartan.

3 of the pipers have been Pipe Majors in their own right and the majority of the members have previously played with (grade 4) competition pipe bands.

There are several 'learner' members in the band but there are still places available for both pipers and drummers.

The band currently has 8 pipers, 1 Bass drummer, 3 Tenor drummers , 4  side drummers and 1 Drum Major as well as several learners .
